Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using the Screen Tasmania SmartJobBoard "Crew and services directory" (the Directory). Screen Tasmania reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
By providing your personal information to Screen Tasmania for inclusion in the Directory, you authorise The Crown in the Right of the State of Tasmania (the Crown), as represented by Screen Tasmania, to collect and use that personal information for the purposes of the Directory as part of Screen Tasmania's promotion of Tasmanian screen professionals.
Screen Tasmania provides the Directory to bring Tasmanian professional crew, screen equipment and service providers together with and production companies/employers.
Job Seekers (Crew, including those involved in Game Development, and Equipment or Service Providers) and Employers (Production or Game Development Companies) can register, create profiles, post opportunities and search for jobs and résumés.
Screen Tasmania reserves the right to remove or reject Job Seeker or Employer registrations or posts at its absolute discretion..
Tasmanian-based screen businesses, practitioners and screen service companies with at least ONE paid professional credit are eligible to register as Job Seekers.
Tasmanian-based businesses and practitioners are those which have been resident for electoral or Tax Office purposes in Tasmania for at least six months prior to the date of posting. Please refer to Screen Tasmania's General Guidelines for more definitions.
Job Seekers may register in up to four categories, as long as they have a paid professional credit in each. Paid credits can include Screen Tasmania-supported paid Attachment positions.
Job Seekers may also use the Directory to register for Job Alerts whereby Job Seekers are automatically notified by email when a job matching their skill set is posted. Job Seekers can unsubscribe from Job Alerts at any time. Please note that there may be some automated alerts the Users (meaning Jobseekers or Employers) cannot unsubscribe from whilst they have a current listing on the Directory.
Job Seekers warrant that the information they provide is true and accurate. Screen Tasmania will be monitoring Job Seeker posts for accuracy.
You may update your information at any time and are encouraged to do so to ensure your listing remains current.
Employers posting jobs on this Directory warrant that those jobs exist and are paid positions which comply with all relevant Tasmanian and Commonwealth industrial relations and workplace health and safety laws and the appropriate Awards and Agreements.
Job postings will be vetted by Screen Tasmania staff before being made live on the Directory. Screen Tasmania reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to refuse to publish any post.
For volunteer, deferred or otherwise unpaid positions, please consider using community resources such as Tasmanian Filmmakers or Northern Tasmanian Filmmakers Facebook pages.
Job Seeker personal data will be available to Employers visiting this Directory. Personal data includes Users' names, email addresses and, as an option, a telephone number.
Personal information provided by Job Seekers and Employers to Screen Tasmania through the Directory will be managed in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act 2004.
The Screen Tasmania crew and services directory may not be used for any of the following purposes:
The User is required to provide truthful information in their profile or job post.
It is prohibited to use any text or images from this Directory for personal or commercial use.
The Directory has a number of automated email alerts, including notifications about Jobs and expiry of both jobs and résumés.
Some services provided through SmartJobBoard are only available through a 'payment' module. Screen Tasmania has set all 'payments' at zero. No payment is necessary.
The Crown takes no responsibility for any deliberate or inadvertent inaccuracies in job posts, profiles or résumés.
Screen Tasmania reserves the right to edit or delete any information submitted by the User to the Directory. Where a User's information has been edited or deleted by Screen Tasmania, that user will be notified by email, prior to the edit going live or immediately after deletion, whichever applies.
Users warrant that they hold the necessary rights to all material posted by them to the Directory. The Crown accepts no liability for any breach of copyright by Users of the Directory. Screen Tasmania reserves the right to remove material from the Directory that it reasonably believes is in breach of intellectual property laws.
The Crown, including its officers, employees and agents does not accept liability including liability for negligence, for any loss resulting from the inclusion of a User's information in the Directory or from any action by Screen Tasmania to preclude a User from inclusion in the Directory.
The Crown makes no assurances that any registered Job Seeker will be engaged by third parties as a result of using the Directory.
It is the responsibility of the User to make their own enquiries and obtain independent professional advice before submitting their information to the Directory.
