Hello, I'm Mish, 27, non-binary (they) and fairly new to Hobart. I've lived and worked in Brisbane, Sarajevo, Zagreb and Pécs. Here's a little about me and my experience :
Currently majoring in Music Technology (BMus) at the UTAS Conservatorium. Recipient of the Conservatorium of Music 125th Anniversary Scholarship.
I've had over 5 wonderful years of film sound experience, recording, mixing and post-production work on documentary, and fiction shorts and features. I'd love to continue working in that vein. Happy and privileged to say my work has screened all over the world, and won multiple awards in such places as Cannes, Locarno, Torino, Mexico.
I excel at art installations, audiovisual work for theatre, musical and experimental applications of sound. I'm willing to work extremely hard to realise a special idea. I love the challenge.
I do the simple things well. I’m well versed in production life and workflow. These include:
- recording, mixing, mastering
- transcription and subtitling
- audio repair
- sound design
- ADR
- interviews, podcasts, sound effects, audio books
Previously studied a Bachelor of Film in Sarajevo under the mentorship of Béla Tarr, Pedro Costa, Fred Kelemen, Nicole Brenez, James Benning, Lav Diaz and Tanja Vrvilo.
I speak English, Hungarian and a little French.
I have also worked as an assistant for film festival directors, copyedited and designed festival material for Film Mutations (Zagreb), curated and led a documentary photography workshop for Pravo Ljudski (Sarajevo), and was a cleaner.
