Experience - brief overview of your professional skills

Adam Ransley is a small town boy home grown in Bridgewater, Tasmania. Having always harnessed a passion for story telling, his childhood comic strips about super heroes evolved into the moving image and script writing.

In 2011, straight out of three years of media studies at Rosny College, he was the recipient of Wide Angle Tasmania's Raw Nerve initiative, where he wrote, produced and directed his first professional short; Dibs, and in 2013, he was the recipient of Screen Tasmania's Silverscreen funding, enabling him to hone his skills and do a few master classes with Vicki Madden (The Kettering Incident) and Ellen Sandler (Everybody Loves Raymond).

Inspired by some of the worlds best crime dramas, he began working on his own TV pilot ideas and began developing Eastside, which won the BOFA Film Festival's inaugural Devil Writer's award in 2013.

In recent years he has worked on several short films, writing Wing and a Prayer and Bloodgurgler.

A lateral, outside-the-box-thinker, he aspires to work full time in creating some of Australia's finest television.
